Wheelbarrow’s latest app is ‘Simply a Masterpiece’
Since its release in October last year, our Rules of Summer app has been going from strength to strength. Created in collaboration with the eponymous Shaun Tan, our digital derivative of the hardback has been received phenomenally worldwide. Here in Australia it has already received many accolades such as a Children’s Technology Review ‘Editor Choice Award’ for Excellence in Design, and topping iTunes at #1 in the books category for paid apps.
Overseas, the app was shortlisted in the top 20 Digital Interactive texts at the revered Bologna Children’s Book Fair – not to mention getting a generous showing at the event itself as a representation of excellence in the emerging sphere of digital publishing. Its recent release in America has garnered excitement and stellar reviews alike, with one mobile app reviewer calling it “Simply a Masterpiece. 10/10!”
Congratulations to everyone who contributed to the creation of the Rules of Summer app – the amazing reaction we have received is testament to all the hard work and talent of everyone involved in development. Stay tuned for updates, as we roll the app out into more regions worldwide.
